Nestled approximately 90 miles south of Atlanta and 70 miles north of Montgomery, Alabama; Rainey-McCullers School of the Arts is one of the newest visual and performing arts high schools in the state of Georgia (Columbus) – and the newest addition to the Muscogee County School District portfolio of schools. In 2017, Rainey-McCullers School of the Arts opened its doors to students for the first time in it’s beautiful $36,000,000 facility. Since our inaugural year, our students have earned top state and national recognitions for academic performance and in many of our arts disciplines. Our school serves students in grades 6 – 12. While the middle grades program is exploratory in nature, the high school program is an audition-based admission program. The school is a grades 6 – 12 selective enrollment magnet school based on academic criteria and other indicators in addition to the artistic audition for the high school programs.
The search is underway for a new dance instructor. The vacancy was created due to our former teacher relocating to another state after having done a phenomenal job with our students. We are in search of an experienced teacher leader who can continue the great work that has been accomplished with our students and program development. The ideal candidate will not only be experienced in teaching but will also possess or be eligible for current state-issued educator certification in Dance Education.
